So yeah. This term we've been studying Romeo and Juliet. After reading through the book several times and watching the 1996 version of the movie we were given this sheet which is compiled of a lot of small tasks that we got to pick and choose from to make up 60% of our overall mark for this term.
Our teacher then made arrangements for two people from a theatre company to act out key scenes from the play, which was actually quite funny. That was on Friday.
And after this work is all submitted on Tuesday morning, we will then be required to write an essay on the topic "There is more love than hate in Romeo and Juliet" (I think that was it)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, the tasks I'm doing other than this one are;
+Write a modern adaptation of at least three scenes from Romeo and Juliet+
+Paint or create a detailed drawing of a key scene from the play+
+Give a talk on the relevance (or lack of) of Shakespeare to teenagers today+
+Produce a newspaper article from a Verona newspaper which reports on one of the dramatic events from the play. Adjust your use of language according to purpose: reporting an event. Include quotes from relevant participants+
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah...this had BETTER get marked soon...because I AM SO PISSED OFF AT THIS!!
